Doralice Klainscek is an archaeologist and has been working as a project assistant (Prae-Doc) in the FWF project ANAPAN (PI Prof. Dr. M. Luciani) since April 2024. She completed her bachelor's and master's degrees at the University of Vienna. Her current research focuses on ceramic analysis, including morphotypology, technology, and petrography. Her dissertation project, "Tracing Socio-Economic Dynamics through Pottery Manufacture and Distribution: a Diachronic and Interregional Perspective from NW Arabia," focuses on the socio-economic dynamics associated with the production, use, and distribution of ceramics. The focus is on vessels from the Bronze and Iron Age oasis of Qurayyah, NW Arabia. These vessels are being studied at the typological, technological, and archaeometric levels using a chain-opératoire approach in the supra-regional context of Arabia and the Levant.
